Situation

ADAMA Agricultural Solutions Ltd. (formerly Makhteshim Agan Industries Ltd.), one of the leading global manufacturers and distributors worldwide of crop protection solutions, approached us looking for project management support for the delivery and roll-out of their new website, a key aspect in their on-going global re-branding process.

This new global website represents a paradigm shift in the digital space in agriculture and provides a completely redesigned responsive user experience to its visitors. For the first time in the industry, a website has been devised that puts the grower in focus and delivers relevant information and value-added to the grower’s everyday work.

Adama´s global website is the first proof point in the company vision to become the first digital agricultural brand. This new platform contains all corresponding local websites within the umbrella of the new Adama global brand, providing localized and personalized content to its customers trimmed to their preferences and languages.

Approach

As a key partner in Adama’s digital transformation, Open Web Technology assisted in the roll-out and launch of the global website, leading the project to ensure a smooth delivery and comprehensive training to all country teams.

We also coordinated communications and activities between multiple stakeholders, such as design partners, delivery partners, global and local IT and marketing teams, during implementation, launch and further phases of the project.

Results

After a short implementation timeline of 3 and a half months, Adama launched its new internet site under http://www.adama.com. The first 15 countries have been migrated within one month after go-live of the platform, allowing Adama to benefit from a unified communication worldwide and to significantly reduce implementation costs within the countries and regions.
