Open Web Technology is pleased to announce the creation of a joint venture with Swisscom, establishing a leading provider of digital transformation consulting services for large companies in Switzerland.
The joint venture will capitalize on both, the unique know-how that Open Web Technology has developed over the last years as a digital management consulting firm, and Swisscom Enterprise Customers' leading position in Switzerland as ICT provider employing 5'000 IT specialists.
This results in Swisscom´s 50% acquisition of Open Web Technology SA and the renaming to Swisscom Digital Technology SA. The joint venture operations will continue under the brand “Open Web Technology”.
About 30 specialists of insentia SA, owned by Veltigroup/Swisscom, will transfer to the joint venture, which will employ more than ninety highly specialized engineers with offices in Geneva, Zurich, Lausanne and Da Nang (Vietnam).
The joint venture will be managed by Frédéric Weill (CEO) and will operate independently from Swisscom. It will closely collaborate with Swisscom Enterprise Customers and its Digital Enterprise Solutions department led by Nicolas Fulpius (former CEO of Veltigroup), who will be appointed chairman.
Markus Eberhard (senior vice-president of Online at Swisscom), Rivo Radanielina (CEO of insentia SA) and Laurent Clerc (Head of development at insentia SA) will be appointed member of the executive team next to Paul de La Rochefoucauld, Kay Flieger and Pascal Chatelain.
Today's announcement will not change the way Open Web Technology SA collaborates with their clients and partners. Furthermore, the company will be now uniquely positioned to become the recognized leader in the areas of digital strategy consulting, cloud architecture consulting, custom software development and multi-channel digital marketing in Switzerland.
This new chapter of our long lasting collaboration with Swisscom will significantly boost Open Web Technology´s capabilities, particularly in the Swiss German market.
